Job Description Overview:

A Product Manager at ASUS in our OPBG department will be responsible for presenting, promoting, and developing innovative strategies to achieve goals, as well as maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. This position requires collaboration with R&D and sales departments and direct interaction with customers to sell server products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities by evaluating prospects and their position in the industry
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities
  • Conduct market research analysis to assess potential projects
  • Develop and evaluate promotional plans to align with product line and market strategy
  • Visit customers to solicit feedback on products and potential opportunities
  • Perform other projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Years of Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A) or above, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information System

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience on Server platforms with a proven track record of product management for top Service Providers, Enterprise customers, and System Integrators
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of servers, storage, enterprise applications, and commercial-related server industry

Knowledge and Skills

  • Detail-oriented organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with strong negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent sales-pitch presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams and committees
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in pre-sales engineering discussions, oral communication, and solid presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete RFI’s, RFP’s, and RFQ’s
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Mandarin

 

Working Conditions:

  • Requires sitting and operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods
  • Up to 30% travel, both domestic and international, as required

 

$100,000-$175,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in our Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
